The matchday kicked off with FSV Mainz 05 hosting Borussia Monchengladbach. The final score was 4 – 0, Mainz grabbing the win. In one of the most interesting matches of matchday 22, RB Leipzig hosted Eintracht Frankfurt, the two teams facing each other for a top 4 spot. The final score was 2 – 1, Leipzig grabbing the 3 points.

In another interesting match it was 1899 Hoffenheim hosting 2nd placed in-form team, Borussia Dortmund. After 90 minutes it was 0 – 1, 1899 Hoffenheim losing the match, Borussia continuing it’s streak. For one of the highlight matches of the round we had 5th placed Freiburg hosting Bayer Leverkusen. The final score was 1 – 1, the teams splitting the points.

Bundesliga saved the best for last, as in the last match of the matchday, we had leaders Bayern Munich hosting Union Berlin, who are 3rd. The final result was 3 – 0, Bayern Munich taking all 3 points home. Coman was man of the match

Bayern Munich are first, albeit only on goal difference, as Dortmund are on the same amount of points: 46. This loss puts Union Berlin one point in front of RB Leipzig, on 43. Freiburg are 5th, Frankfurt are 6th.

Despite winning a game, Schalke 04 are still last. They are on 16 points, 3 less than Bochum, Hoffenheim and Stuttgart. Yep, all 3 teams are on 19 points. Hertha have one more point, they are 14th on 20 points. Leverkusen are 11th, with 28 points.
