Real Madrid played early on Saturday, which is generally a bad omen for Ancelotti’s men, however this time around they grabbed the 3 points. After the final whistle it was 3-1 to Madrid. In one of the most interesting matches of the round, it was Villarreal coming up against Real Betis and after 90 minutes it was 1-1, both teams getting a point each.

Barcelona are first in the league, with a comfortable 9 points over their arch rivals, Real Madrid, who are on 56 points. Atletico are 3rd, a further 8 points behind. La Real are 4th, closely followed by Betis, Villareal and even Rayo.
Elche are still last and they are looking hopeless. Almeria are 19th with 25 points, one less than the surprising duo of Getafe and Valencia. Sevilla moved all the way up to 13th, with 28 points.
