Bournemouth triumphed 2-0 over Newcastle on the same day.

On Sunday, Aston Villa won 3-1 against Fulham. Brighton and Sheffield United settled for a 1-1 draw. Liverpool dominated with a 3-0 win over Brentford, while West Ham secured a 3-2 victory against Nottingham Forest. The round concluded with the highlight match of the round, thrilling 4-4 draw between Chelsea and Manchester City. Haaland with the double, Akanji and Rodri scored for City. Thiago Silva, Sterling, Nicolas Jackson and Palmer for Chelsea.

Manchester City continues to assert their dominance at the top of the table, with 28 points from 12 matches. The bottom three teams face a tough challenge as they strive to climb out of the danger zone and secure their place in the top-flight for the next season.
