The new round kicked off with reigning champions, PSG facing Toulouse. Despite an early scare, the Parisians managed to crawl back into the game and won the match, 2-1. Messi was the man of the match, he scored the winner too. A team who had multiple and ups and downs this season, Lyon continued the round on Saturday, beating Troyes, 3-1. Same score for Lille against Rennes.
Fourth placed Monaco placed against Clermont and they managed to win the match, strenghtening their 4th position on the table. Other podium hopefuls, Lens and Marseille both produced disappointing results. Lens drew versus Brest, 1-1, while Marseille lost at the Velodrome against Nice, 1-3.

It’s PSG at the top of the table with 54 points from 22 matches. Marseille is currently second, with the same amount of points as third place Lens, 46. This means the Parisians have an 8 point advantage, which is quite a lot at this point of the season. Is it over? Maybe… Monaco are 4th, a further 2 points behind 3rd place.
Angers are last on the table, yet to hit double digits, on 9 points. Auxerre are 19th, 5 extra points. The pair of Ajaccio and Strasbourg are a further 4 points in front of them, however Troyes, Montpellier and Brest are also close.
