Yesterday afternoon, news outlets from across Europe started reporting about a “strong” interest from ManUtd for Brazilian star, Casemiro. Their deal for Rabiot collapsed, Frenkie de Jong seems more and more unlikely and they don’t want the transfer window to end without a marquee signing. They desperately need a new CDM and they believe Casemiro is the man for the job.
At the beginning fans didn’t think much of it, everyone assumed there is no way the Brazilian tank would even consider such an offer from the current last placed team in the Premier League.
But then, more and more, reliable Spanish journalists started reporting on the fact that Casemiro is actually considering the offer, as the salary increase would be significant, putting him at about 400k per week.
Reports on the transfer fee which will be offered by Manchester United are around 60-80mil Euros. Remains to be seen whether that will be enough to make Real Madrid accept a move for their talisman to the Old Trafford.
