UEFA Champions League 23/24 – Group Stage draw

The highly anticipated UEFA Champions League Group Stage draw took place in Monaco today, revealing the groups. Let’s see what the draw brought us!

Group F emerges as the “group of death,” featuring powerhouses like PSG, Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, and Newcastle United from the Premier League. While the competition is fierce and any 2 team from the 4 has a chance of going through, PSG stands as clear favorites to advance from this challenging group. They have invested a lot over the summer and now see themselves armed with their exceptional squad.

Group D promises excitement as the teams seem evenly matched. Benfica, Inter Milan, FC Salzburg from the Austrian Bundesliga, and Real Sociedad are set to engage in captivating battles, making it a true spectacle for fans. Last season’s finalists, Inter, remain favorites.

In a similar manner, Group E is also well balanced, containing Feyenoord, Atletico, Lazio and Celtic. Sarri versus Simeone is definitely a treat for all football fans!

Meanwhile, UCL favorites like Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and Real Madrid find themselves in groups that offer a relatively smoother path, igniting anticipation for their journey ahead. Bayern will have to face Man Utd, Copenhagen and Galatasaray in Group A. Real Madrid faces Napoli, Braga and Union Berlin in Group C, while Man City faces RB Leipzig, Red Star Belgrade and Young Boys from Switzerland in Group G.

Arsenal are Group B‘s favorites, however Sevilla, PSV and Lens are no pushovers. Group H consists of La Liga champions, FC Barcelona, Porto, Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk and Antwerp from Belgium.

With the Champions League on the horizon, fans around the world are eagerly awaiting the clash of titans and the unpredictability that this prestigious tournament consistently brings. Hype!
