Argentina wins on penalties.

The South Americans opened the scoring in the 38th minute, thanks to a brilliant Leo Messi pass and a Molina finish. They added another one, thanks to a penalty, after a Dumfries foul.

Netherlands left it late, however they did manage to take the game to extra time. Wolfsburg’s Weghorst scored twice, first with a nice header, then after a free kick scheme, which saw the ball at his feet to make it 2-2 in the 11th minute of injury time!

Argentina were the better side in extra time, however they did not manage to score. Enzo Fernandes, Lautaro Martinez and Messi all came close.

Netherlands missed the first two penalties(Van Dijk and Berghuis) and this basically granted Argentine the victory. They will face Croatia in the Semi Finals.
