A perfect week to continue this series, we have some amazing matches and derbies over the weekend. From El Clasico to recent years’ best English teams facing each other, to Le Classique. We are in for a treat! Read below.
Premier League

Quite an easy choice in the Prem, despite this game not being one for the top spot, at least not for both teams. Man City is still unbeaten, sits only 1 point behind Arteta’s Arsenal, however Liverpool are only 10th. Whether this will be the match to relaunch Liverpool’s bid for European places remains to be seen, however this game is sure to draw a lot of attention. Also worth noting, Liverpool had a huge win in the UCL this week.
La Liga

Ladies and gentlemen, this is the big one! Both teams are unbeaten in La Liga, both on equal amounts of points, only goal difference separating them. Barca has been very clutch, conceding only one goal in the league so far, while Real Madrid is unbeaten in Europe as well. One of the most anticipated and important El Clasicos in recent times, probably the biggest game on the planet.
Bundesliga

In a somewhat unusual fashion, there are two matches from the Bundesliga we would like to talk about this week, both equally important. We have first placed Union Berlin, facing 4th placed Dortmund AND 3rd placed Bayern facing 2nd placed Freiburg. Wins from league favorites, Bayern and Dortmund would result in the top 4 being seperated by only 2 points, which might be unheard of after 10 rounds.
Serie A
| 16/10/22 | 15:00 CET | Lazio vs Udinese |
Disclaimer, this wasn’t easy to pick, as we have the Torino Derby between Juventus and Torino this weekend, however we just couldn’t pass on, on the 3rd placed team facing the 4th placed one. Both Lazio and Udinese won 4 out of their last 5 games and are looking great. Milinkovic-Savic is one of the best players in Serie A at the moment and Immobile is the top scorer of the league. Udinese on the other hand, has a clutch Deulofeu and an amazing Pereyra.
Ligue 1
| 16/10/22 | 20:45 CET | PSG vs Marseille |
Back to easy picks, this was a no brainer. PSG versus Marseille has a long history and this time around Le Classique is being played by the 1st and 3rd teams, with only 3 points between them. The Parisians are clear favorites, however Messi is injured, while the Mbappe saga seems to have restarted, with several reports saying he is unhappy and wants to leave. This kind of internal turmoil can cause issues for PSG.
