At least one Milan based side got back to winning ways, after last round’s disastrous showing, as Inter beat Cremonese, 2-1. On the other hand, Pioli’s AC Milan suffered another shocking defeat, this time losing at home against Sassuolo, 2-5. Atalanta confirmed it’s good form, together with winger, Lookman as they beat Sampdoria at home, 2-0.
The other surprise result featured Juventus, as they lost, also at home against Monza, 2-0. This means Monza beat Juventus two times this season. After a nice start of the year, Lazio also lost some points, as they drew against Fiorentina, 1-1. In the highlight of the round, Napoli beat Roma 2-1 to distance themselves even further from the rest of Serie A. Osimhen scored a great goal once again.

Napoli are still on top and they have no gathered a 13 point lead. Even if the lead looks too massive to disappear, we must not forget that there are still 18 rounds in Serie A. Inter are second on 40 points, followed by Lazio, Atalanta and Milan, all on 38 points. Roma is just one point behind. Napoli are way ahead, however the race for the podium places will be very tight.
Cremonese is last on 8 points, one less than Sampdoria. 18th placed Verona’s chances of staying up also look grim, as they have 5 less points than 17th place Spezia.
