With Madrid dropping points again, Barcelona are now 5 points above their main rivals. With their good form, it will be hard for Real Madrid to catch up, but the pair still have 20 more games. Real Sociedad are still 3rd, with an extra 3 points behind, but also one more match played. Atletico are 4th, a further 5 points below the podium. Villareal and Betis are next.
Elche are last with only 6 points. Getafe is 19th with 17 points, two less than Cadiz. Valladolid, Celta Vigo, Espanyol and Valencia are on 20. Interesting to note that Gattuso, Valencia’s coach has been sacked.
Team of the Week

Sevilla seems to be back on track, or at least they are out of the relegation zone for now and this is shown by the fact that they have not 2, not 3, but 4 players in the team of the week. Acuna got a perfect 10 rating on Sofascore, but Suso, En-Nesyri and Rakitic are also in the team.
Despite only getting a point, Real Madrid also provides two players in Eder Militao and Dani Ceballos. From the same match, we also get Sociedad’s GK, Alex Remiro. Barca and Atletico provide one player each, same with Betis.
