On Saturday, we had Elche coming up against Barcelona. After the final whistle it was 0-4, Barcelona gaining the easy 3 points. Their rivals, Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid faced Valladolid at the Bernabeu and the match ended 6-0, Valladolid getting no points from this one. Benzema hattrick.
For one of the highlight matches of the round we had Villarreal coming up against Real Sociedad. The final score was 2-0, Villarreal adding 3 more points to their tally. In another highly anticipated match, we had Atletico Madrid facing Real Betis. After the final whistle it was 1-0, Atletico Madrid adding 3 more points to their tally.

Barcelona are first in the league and they are still sitting on a 12 points lead over Real Madrid. Atletico Madrid are 3rd, a further 5 points behind their local rivals. La Real are currently 4th, followed by Betis. Villareal are 6th.
Elche are last with only 13 points. They are looking as good as relegated. Almeria, Espanyol and Valencia are all on 27 points. We also have 2 teams on 28: Almeria and Cadiz.
