With two matches left from this round, you can expect an edit in this section. After their first round draw, Barcelona have been getting into form. This time around it was Valladolid who got destroyed at the Camp Nou, with Lewandowski scoring two, but tricky winger Raphinha stealing the show. Betis are 3 out of 3, beating surprise team Osasuna. Same goes for Real Madrid who have beaten Espanyol in a tense match. Sevilla are still struggling, losing to Allmeria, with Villareal drawing their first match, against 1 point Getafe. Valencia will host Atletico at the Mestalla on 29th.

Standings

Real Madrid and Real Betis are leading the pack, both with 9 points out of 3 games. Note, they are facing each other next weekend. We have Barcelona and Villareal, both on 7, with Athletic possible joining them, if they can beat last placed Cadiz away. Still early days in Spain, but Getafe will be hoping to build on their momentum to escape the relegation zone. Long season ahead for Elche, Valladolid and Cadiz as well. Apart from the team standings, the race for Top Scorer will also be interesting, with Lewandowski and Borja Iglesias on 4 goals each, while Benzema and Aspas are already on 3.

Only 3 matchdays gone and we no longer have Serie A teams with maximum points. Inter lost to Lazio, 3-1, Dybala faced his old team, as Juventus drew against Roma 1-1 in Turin, with important attackers, Vlahovic and Tammy Abraham on the score sheet. Fiorentina managed to stop Spalletti’s Napoli, 0-0 in Firenze. AC Milan are back to winning ways, with beating Bologna 2-0. Salernitana managed to produce the biggest shock of the round, as they beat fellow strugglers, Sampdoria.

Standings

Despite no more teams being on maximum points, it is still very tight at the top. Napoli are still leaders, due to their goal difference, however Milan, Lazio, Atalanta, Torino and Roma are all on 7, with Inter on 6, followed by Juventus and Fiorentina on 5. On the other side of the table, both newcomers, Monza and Cremonese are struggling, with 0 points from 3 matches.

There is a conspiracy theory floating around that Bayern beats everyone each season in the Bundesliga, except Gladbach, who always manage to find point(s) against the Bavarian giants. We cannot confirm, nor deny this theory, however Bayern did draw at home versus Borussia, with Yann Sommer in sensational form. On the other side of the table, Leverkusen finally managed to grab their first points, as they beat Mainz. Dortmund and RB Leipzig are also back to winning ways, they beat Hertha and Wolfsburg respectively. After last week’s thriller, Werder participated in another thriller, but this time they were on the wrong end of the stick, losing to Entracht, 3-4. Union with another win, this time dominating Schalke 6-1 in Gelsenkirchen.

Standings

Bayern are still leaders, however they have a surprising contender in Urs Fischer’s Union Berlin, both being teams on 10 points. The pair is followed by Freiburg, Hoffenheim and Dortmund, all on 9. Leipzig and Leverkusen are both mid table at the moment, however we can probably expect the two hot shots to capitalize on their momentum and climb the rankings. Bochum with 0 points are seemingly fighting an impossible battle this season. Hertha, Schalke and Wolfsburg also have their work cut out for them.

Well, well, well, it seems Bayern are not the only team in Europe to lose their perfect record in their respective leagues, as PSG drew against AS Monaco last night, in a hard fought match. AS Monaco held the lead for the majority of the match, but a well taken Neymar penalty rescued a point for the Parisian side. This, together with Marseille and Lens, both winning their games, means that we might end up with a title race after all! Lyon, previously on a 100% record drew versus Reims, however they still have a game in hand, against fellow highly placed Lorient. Score of the round came thanks to Montpellier, who trashed Stade Brestois 7 to 0.

Standings

Things are starting to heat up, with PSG, big spenders Marseille and Lens all on 10 points, with the possibility of one of Lyon and Lorient joining them. On the other hand, things are not looking well for Ajaccio, who have just 1 point from 4 games. AS Monaco are still mid table, however their draw against PSG will surely give them some confidence in their charge for European places. Same goes for Lille, who managed to get another win, after losing heavily to PSG last week.
