We are back with the second installment of Matchday Roundup! This time we thought it would be better to seperate the leagues into two parts. The Bundesliga and Ligue 1 don’t have more matches left, the other top 3 leagues will be reviewed tomorrow after all the matches conclude.

It was matchday 3 in the Bundesliga and saying everything is going according to Bayern Munich’s plan is an understatement. Worst out of the 4 “favorites” is Bayer Leverkusen. They lost again, putting their record at 3 losses from 3 games. Similar situation for RB Leipzig, they lost their first game of the season, after 2 consecutive draws. It was looking good for Dortmund for 89 minutes, however Werder pulled magically came back in extra time to win the game 2-3. On the other hand, Bayern are continuing the dominate.

Standings

Unsurprisingly, Bayern are first with maximum points. What is impressing is their 15:1 goal difference though. Early days, but the way the Nagelsmann boys are playing, it is obvious that it will be very hard for any team to beat them, yet alone gather more points than them. Leverkusen and Leipzig need to get their form together fast, or there will be in big trouble.

Ligue 1 Results

Well there’s another coach who’s boys are playing extremely well and that is Christophe Galtier of PSG. It seems switching to three at the back really manages to get most out of the Messi – Mbappe – Neymar trio, they are simply put on fire. Notably, Mbappe scored after only 8 seconds!

The best of the rest, Lyon, Lens and Marseille all won this time around. On the other hand it’s still looking grim for AS Monaco, even after getting Camara.

Standings

Unsurprisingly, PSG are leading the pack. Somehow they are managing to have an even better goal difference as Bayern, with 17 goals scored. All of MNM is pulling their weight, but it seems Neymar is in the form of his lifetime, with 5 goals, 4 assists in only 4 games in all competitions. Crazy statistics, something must have happened to motivate him in the summer..
