Antonio Conte will not be happy about this round, as Tottenham only managed to grab a draw versus Brentford, putting them in a weaker spot for their quest for the top 4 places. On the other hand, Newcastle continued their great run of form, beating Leicester. Liverpool managed to grab more than just Gakpo from PSV this week, as they won the much needed 3 points. Same for Chelsea and Man United, who missed out on the Dutch attacker. The two pack leader,s, Arsenal and Manchester City all managed to grab the win. Haaland with another brace!

Arsenal are still in a relatively comfortable position at the top, with City being out of striking zone, 5 points behind. Newcastle, having played a game extra, are now 3rd, followed by Tottenham. Manchester United are 5th, however with a game in hand, giving them the opportunity to move to the top 4. Liverpool and Chelsea, also with a game in hand are 6th and 8th, with 25 and 24 ponts respectively. The race for the top 4 is going to be better than ever!

At the other end of the spectrum, Southampton are last, with the Saints having managed to grab only 12 points in 16 games. Both Wolves(who’ve won their match this round) and Nottingham Forest are on 12, only for Everton and West Ham to occupy 16th and 17th, with 14 points each. The race is also very tight here!

Team of the Round

We at Generation:Football will add the top scorers to these kind of posts from time to time, however there is no point in adding it to every article. This time around we are presenting the Team of the Round!

Mitrovic and Haaland are once again in the starting 11. Casemiro with a great performance also got in, same goes for Arsenal’s playmaker, Odegaard. Two Liverpool defenders complete the lineup.
