That time of the week again, time to predict the next round, the Quarter Finals! Eight teams are still fighting for the trophy in Qatar, however only four can reach the Semi Finals!
Two solid teams, this match has the potential to go all the way to penalties, just like Croatia’s match again Japan. Brazil did lose against Cameroon, while Croatia is still unbeaten, however the South Americans are favorites with their immense attacking talent, especially with Neymar on the pitch. Brazil rarely concedes, however we believe both teams will score, with Titi’s team grabbing the win. Whether that’s happening over 90 or 120 minutes, we cannot say. We believe Brazil will go through.

Another amazing matchup! Argentina has been hot and cold this tournament, losing their opening match against Saudi Arabia, not playing particularly well against Mexico, however dominating Poland and Australia. Messi is in great form though and he alone can decide matches. The Netherlands played well in Group A and didn’t give USA a lot of hope in the Round of 16 either. All and all, Van Gaal’s Netherlands have been looking slightly better and we are giving them the edge.
On paper, the match which has the clearest favorite, but you never know at this World Cup, especially with a motivated team like Morocco! The Africans eliminated Spain and they are out for blood against the other Iberian team as well. Still, Portugal has been playing some good football this tournament and we don’t only mean their set against Switzerland. Fernando Santos seems to have reinvented his own style of play and whether Cristiano Ronaldo plays or not, Portugal are favorites. We believe they have what it takes to break Morocco’s organized defense. 2-0 is our prediction.
A true European classic, probably the most interesting match of the Quarter Finals. Both teams looked very good this tournament, giving us the feeling that they can score and win games every time they put their foot on the throttle. Well there will be only one winner here, so one of these exciting teams will exit the tournament. The main question is whether England has the tools to stop Mbappe, as their offensive is also amazing. 2-1 for France is our prediction, however we wouldn’t be surprised if we see even more goals.
