Games to Watch over the weekend – 07.10

We are back with the second installment of Games to Watch over the weekend and we have a nice selection of matches for you to enjoy over the weekend!

Premier League

09/10/2217:30Arsenal Liverpool
Battle of the reds

Probably not a lot of people would have expected that Liverpool will have less than half of Arsenal’s points in the Prem by round 10, but here we are. Arteta’s Arsenal are looking like title contenders, while Liverpool are struggling to get into European places. Still, you can never count Klopp’s team out, we can expect a very nice match from these two clubs.

La Liga

09/10/2219:30Real SociedadVillareal

There were a couple of good matches to chose from in the Spanish League, however we have ultimately went with La Real vs Villareal. Sociedad is 7th, while Villareal are 8 and only one point is the difference between the two. Both teams had decent starts of the season, however both will be looking to get into the top 6 as soon as possible.

Bundesliga

08/10/2218:30Borussia DortmundBayern München
De Klassiker

What a match we have in Germany! We have De Klassiker, as Dortmund faces Bayern at the Westfallen Stadium. Even though Bayern are 3rd and Dortmund 4th, everybody is expecting these two to finish top two in Bundesliga this season. Both teams are on 15 points as well, 2 off first placed Union Berlin, meaning one of the teams might lose contact with the top spot after this game.

Serie A

08/10/2218:00MilanJuventus
Derby d’Italia

Even though it’s not a battle for first place at the moment, we have the much anticipated Derby d’Italia in Serie A this weekend. Milan are only 3 points off first placed Napoli, so they will be looking to keep their title chances alive. On the other hand, Juventus are an extra 4 points off Milan, however they did win midweek in the UCL, to keep their chances of going through intact.

Ligue 1

09/10/2220:45Lille OSCLens
Derby du Nord

For Ligue 1, our pick of the weekend is Derby du Nord, the Northern derby! Lille and Lens are two of the most successful clubs from Northern France. Lens are one of the surprise teams of the French league season, as they sit 4th. Lille OSC on the other hand are 8th, having lost 3 out of their last 5 games.
