Valverde’s Athletic Bilbao continued their impressive run, as they beat Almeria 4-0. In our GTWOTW match, Atletico made easy work of Lopetegui’s Sevilla, pushing the Andalusyan side even deeper into crisis. Barcelona winning streak is alive, as they beat Mallora 1-0, thanks to another Lewa goal. Somewhat surprisingly, Celta beat Betis, 1-0. In the highest scoring match of the round, La Real beat Girona, 3-5, two goals from Sorloth and great performances by Kubo and Zubamendi. Real Madrid drew versus Osasuna, ending their win streak.

Standings

With Real Madrid dropping points, there are no more teams with a perfect record in the top 5 leagues. This also means that Barcelona are now first in La Liga, for the first time since 2020. They have an insane goal difference of 19:1 and Lewandowski is also dominating the Top Scorer chart with 9 goals. Even though not officially in the relegation zone, Sevilla are just one point apart from the bottom 3. Elche is on 1 point, Cadiz and Almeria are both on 4.

The round started with a match that could have been a derby, but due to Leverkusen’s poor form this season, everyone expected a Bayern domination. And so they did dominate… With a 4-0 scoreline, they are back to winning ways, the goal is first place. Dortmund face FC Koln away from home and lost 2-3. Leaders, Union Berlin also suffered a loss, versus Eintracht. Freiburg downed Mainz, while RB Leipzig demolished Bochum at home to gain some much needed points. Score of the round came from Werder, who demolished Gladbach 5-1.

Standings

Union Berlin are still first, however the other surprise package, Freiburg are level on points, both on 17. Bayern moved to 3rd, same amount of points as 4th placed Dortmund, both on 15. Leverkusen are now officially in the relegation zone, sitting 17th, with 5 points, same as Stuttgard. Bochum are last on 1 point after a disastrous start of the season. Leipzig are 11th, with 11 points.

Round started with a banger, as Napoli beat Torino 3-1. This was Spalletti’s 4th win in a row and this means Napoli is retaining their top spot. Inter faced(and lost to) Roma at home, earning them another defeat before their crucial game against Barcelona in the UCL. City rivals, AC Milan, beat Empoli 3-1. Lazio continues matching on, as they beat Spezia 4-0. 2nd placed Atalanta beat Fiorentina with a narrow 1-0, while Juventus won their first game in the last 4, as they beat Bologna, with Serbian duo, Kostic and Vlahovic both on the scoresheet.

Standings

Napoli are first, level on points with Atalanta. 3rd and 4th are Lazio and Milan, but on 17 points. It is hard to figure out what is happening with Inter, it will be hard for them to climb back, considering teams like Roma, Juventus and even Udinese are looking stronger than them at the moment. Sampdoria lost again, leaving them with just 2 points, one less than Cremonese. Verona are 18th.
