Top players in the top 5 leagues so far based on G/A

The international break has been hard on us, as we’ve been used to non-stop club football since August. At the moment Generation:Football has no intention of covering the Nations League, as the World Cup is approaching rapidly. Instead we have decided to take a look at the top performers in each of the top leagues! We will discuss goals and assists!

3Aleksandar MitrovićFulham6
4Ivan ToneyBrentford5
5Gabriel JesusArsenal4

Not a lot of surprises here, as our top expensive transfer of the summer mercato, Erling Haaland leads the way. There were people who thought he will have a slower starter, but so far the Norwegian never found it hard to adapt to new leagues in his short, yet impressive career.

Kane is as prolific as ever, while Mitrovic is still enjoying life at Fulham. Ivan Toney from Brentford and new Arsenal signing, Gabriel Jesus comples our top 5 for the Prem.

5Jack HarrisonLeeds United3

If we said we are not surprised by Haaland leading the goals chart, what can we say about this one, eh? No matter who is upfront, Belgian maestro, KDB will always be one of the top assisters in the league.

Interesting to see that we actually have two players from leaders, Arsenal in the top 5. Both Saka and Jesus are having a very good time so far. Liverpool’s Firmino(even though his assists come from the same match) and Leeds’ Jack Harrison complete the top 5.

1Robert LewandowskiBarcelona8
2Borja IglesiasReal Betis Balompié6
3Iago AspasCelta Vigo5
4Vinícius JúniorReal Madrid4
5RodrygoReal Madrid3

Similar to Haaland, the other Bundesliga export, Robert Lewandowski has been brilliant at Barcelona. He already scored 8 goals, in only 6 games, helping Barcelona achieve a goal difference of 18:1 in these games. Also his main rival for the Pichichi award, Karim Benzema is currently injured, thus the gap increased by a lot.

Speaking of Real Madrid, Vini Jr is on 4 goals, while, Rodrygo, Valverde and the aformentioned Benzema are all on 3. Borja Iglesias from Betis is 2nd on 6 goals, while Celta’s Aspas is on 5.

4João FélixAtlético Madrid3
5Robert LewandowskiBarcelona2

So far there is not a lot between the top assist providers in La Liga, but it’s clear to see how influential 21 years old, South Korean midfielder, Kang-in Lee is for Mallora. Other players with 2 assists are Balde, Guillamon and Felix. There are about 10 players on 2 assists.

3Jamal MusialaBayern München4
4Daichi KamadaEintracht Frankfurt4
5Christopher NkunkuRB Leipzig4

While it’s hard to tell whether there will be anyone capable of scoring at a similar rate as Lewandowski, Bundesliga has some exciting attacking talent. Becker, a 27 years old attacker from Suriname is the revelation of the season, together with his team, Union Berlin.

19 years old Musiala is also up there, already having scored 4 goals, the same amount of last year’s second best scorer, Leipzig’s Nkunku. German veteran Fullkrug is on 5, while Frankfurt Japanese internation, Kamada is on 4. One would ask, where is Werner in all of this?

2Ciro ImmobileLazio5
3Teun KoopmeinersAtalanta4
4Olivier GiroudMilan4
5Dušan VlahovićJuventus4

Austrian Striker, wanted by Manchester United in the summer, Marko Arnautovic is having the time of his life, being back in Europe, after two seasons in China. Even though Bologna are not a top club at the moment, he has already banged 6 goals.

Fellow veterans, Ciro Immobile and Olivier Giroud are also in the top 5, with 5 and 4 goals respectively. Atalanta’s Koopmeiners and Juventus’ Vlahovic are both on 4, same as Udinese’s Beto and Napoli’s Kvaradona!

3Roberto PereyraUdinese4
4Piotr ZielińskiNapoli3
5Rafael LeãoMilan3

Another summer passed and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is still at Lazio. There was always a sense that the now 27 years old Serbian midfielder is destined for bigger things, but it seems there is no big club who is willing to pay the big bucks to make him leave Rome. Anyway, he is on 5 assists, same as Spaniard, Gerard Deulofeu.

They are followed by another Udinese player, Roberto Pereyra, who is on 4. Napoli’s Zielinski and Milan’s young starlet, Rafael Leao are both on 3.

2Kylian MbappéParis Saint-Germain7
3Terem MoffiLorient6
4Florian SotocaRC Lens5
5Mama BaldéTroyes5

It’s safe to say that we won’t have to mention the name of the club the top players belong to, a lot, when it comes to Ligue 1. Neymar is first, after a sensational start of the season with 8 goals. The Brazilian has been in the form of his life and we don’t see any reason why he would stop, at least until the World Cup.

His team mate, Kylian Mbappe is second, with one less goal. 23 years old Nigerian forward, Moffi is 3rd, followed by Sotoca from RC Lens and Mama Balde from Troyes.

Back to PSG for the assists chart, as Messi and Neymar are absolutely dominating it, both on 7 assists. This means Neymar is on 15 G/A and we are only in September! With a successful World Cup, surely there is anyone who can stop him from getting next year’s Balon d’Or.

There are a few players on 4 assists, Cabella from Lille, Ouattara from Lorient, Caio Henrique from AS Monaco and Maouassa from Montpellier.
