A few interesting games this matchday! With a magisterial Gabriel Jesus, Arsenal are in great form, as they beat Bournemouth. Rather surprisingly Leeds dominated Chelsea, while Newcastle drew against ManCity, despite having a 2 goal lead at one point. Allan Saint-Maximin managed 3 assists to get the Man of the Match award in the thriller. The matchday ended with ManUtd facing Liverpool. The Red Devils, with Maguire and Ronaldo on the bench, presented Casemiro, but also managed to get the win against their struggling rivals.

After 3 games, Arsenal are the only 100% team in the Premier League. ManCity, Spurs and surprising duo Leeds and Brighton are all close by, with 7 points each. The bottom of the table also looks weird, with ManUtd finally managing to leave the relegation zone. We do not expect Wolves and West Ham to stay there for long either, but Leicester and Everton might have a very tough season ahead.

22/08/22 | Elche CF | 1 | UD Almería | 1 |
22/08/22 | Girona FC | 3 | Getafe | 1 |
This weekend, Sevilla continued to struggle, as they failed to beat Valladolid at home at the Sanchez-Pizjuan, unlike their city rivals, as Betis marginally beat Mallorca. Real Madrid overcame Celta Vigo, in their first game without Casemiro, while Barcelona managed to copy the same score, 4-1 against Sociedad. Fati was the Man of the Match, as he came on as a sub, assisted 2 and scored one. Lewandowski also managed to score his first La Liga goals. After a promising start of the campaign, Atletico lost at home versus Villareal.

Still early days, but we still have 4 clubs with maximum points. Betis and Real Madrid trail Emery’s Villareal, while Osasuna are surprisingly solid so far. It is also a surprise, as people expected more from 0 points Getafe. Sevilla will also be looking at gaining some momentum, they are not having the start they’ve dreamt of.

As we’ve reported that last week, surprisingly, the first Serie A matchday had no draws. This quickly changed however, as this matchday we’ve seen 6 draws, from which 4 were those ugly ones which we all hate.. Top teams, Lazio, Milan, Atalanta and Juventus all lost points. Napoli looks to be most exciting out of the bunch, as Spalletti’s boys demolished Monza, putting their goals scored tally to 9, in just 2 games.

After 2 matchdays, we have 3 teams with maximum points. Napoli, Inter and Roma all got stronger this summer and are looking like real candidates. Also kind of poetic that Mourinho’s Roma has 2 goals scored and 0 conceded from two matches.
