With the Spanish giants being away in Saudi Arabia for the Spanish Super Cup and the Bundesliga still being on it’s annual break, we don’t have the full spectrum of the top teams playing over the upcomming weekend, however we do have some brilliant football!

Premier League

Manchester United – Manchester City

If you have been following our latest Premier League matchday roundups, you most definitely know that Erik Ten Haag’s Man Utd are one of the most in-form teams in the league. What will that mean against Pep Guardiola’s ruthless Man City, remains to be seen, however one thing is certain: we are in for a treat!

Apart from the local derby being important for both teams, there are a lot of implications for this match regarding the standings, as the team that losses will lose crucial ground on leaders, Arsenal.

Tottenham Hotspur – Arsenal

In what is probably the most important derby from London, Antonio Conte’s Spurs face up at home against Arteta’s Arsenal. As you know, Arsenal are currently first in the league, having a decent advantage over Man City, however a loss at Tottenham Stadium would seriously reduce their chances of winning the league.

While Arsenal won most of their matches, drawing against Newcastle last round, Tottenham has been hot and cold since the World Cup, them bagging 4 points in the last 3 games, slipping to 5th. Crucial match for both.

Serie A

Napoli – Juventus

13.01.2023, 20:45 CET – Juventus F.C.–S.S.C. Napoli rivalry

Oh boy, it’s only January and we are getting the biggest match of the year in Italy. Napoli are currently first in Serie A, Spalletti’s men having lost only one league game this season. Juventus on the other hand, had an aweful start, however they have won their last 8 games, without conceding a goal. They are now second.

Even though 7 points might seem a lot between the two, there is no denying that Allegri and his men are in great form and in the eventuality of a victory, they are capable to gaining a couple extra points on Napoli in the remaining rounds. On the other hand if Napoli win, they are going to be much closer to their historic Scudetto.
